Winter Information & FAQ 2019

Blue Jays play and train at the Bradbury Park Courts in Chermside
Winter Season 2019 commences Saturday 16th March
All age groups play on Saturday
The competition runs for 14 weeks plus 3 weeks of finals

Registration for Winter Season 2019 is now CLOSED

ALL age groups are now officially full

Grading

Grading sessions are compulsory for ALL Juniors, Intermediate and Opens players

You must attend both sessions for your age group 
Grading dates:
  • Juniors: 31st January and 7th February 530pm-8pm
  • Intermediate: 1st February and 8th February 6pm-9pm
  • Opens: 3rd February and 10th February 2pm-5pm 

GRADING VENUES
* Please familiarise yourself with the venues, and arrive on time, as we have a large number of players to grade in all three age groups

Juniors:
BNA courts, Bradbury Park

Intermediates:
* Genesis Christian College Indoor Courts, behind the swimming pool

Opens:
* Albany Creek SHS Multi-Purpose Centre, opposite the Albany Creek Woolies
* c/o Old Northern Road & Albany Forest Drive, Albany Creek

Fees

  • Juniors, Intermediate & Opens (born 2008 or earlier) $350
  • GO Competition (born 2009 & 2010) $330
  • Club officials including coaches, umpires and committee members receive a $50 discount on theirs or their child’s playing fees (one discount per family)
  • Final fee payments due 15th March
  • Payment plans available. You will see this option at the payment gateway on your registration form
  • Players who have not paid their fees by the due date will not be eligible to take the court
  • Blue Jays accept Get Started Vouchers that can be applied to your playing fees (more info below)

Training

  • All Winter teams train
  • Training days/times depend on each coaches availability so we will not have this information until teams are finalised and coaches have been allocated to a team
  • We understand that families need to organise their weekly routines so we will endeavour to post and email more detailed training information as soon as it becomes available 
  • Training sessions usually run for one hour on a weekday evening

Blue Jays offer the GO component of the NetSetGO program only
For the Winter 2019 season this is for players born in 2009 & 2010

GO Skills Clinics

These clinics are for our registered Winter 2019 players born in 2009 or 2010

You MUST register for the Winter season BEFORE you register for the clinics
It is recommended that all players attend ALL three clinics

Get Started Vouchers

Blue Jays are an offical Get Started Club
We accept Get Started Vouchers to apply to your playing fees
The next round opens on January 24th
